REHABCARE GROUP: Quarterly profit climbs

RehabCare Group Inc., a Clayton-based operator of rehabilitation centers, posted Wednesday higher quarterly profit with each of its core operating divisions reporting double-digit percentage revenue gains over the previous year.
Net income for the fourth quarter ended Dec. 31 rose to $5.7 million, or 32 cents per share, from $5.1 million, or 29 cents per share, a year ago. Revenue rose to $194 credit reports free.2 million from $171.8 million. For 2008, earnings rose to $18.7 million, or $1.05 per share, from $12.7 million, or 73 cents per share. Revenue rose to $743.1 million from $704.5 million.
