Dayton voters tap their top Chinese restaurant

China Cottage, which has several area restaurants, was voted the Dayton region’s best Chinese restaurant by online readers of the Dayton Business Journal.

The local Chinese restaurant chain, with locations in Centerville, Kettering, Trotwood and Springboro, received 41 percent of 399 votes.

Voters picked China Cottage two to one over the No. 2 selection, PF Chang’s.

Mr. Lee’s in Vandalia and “other” were the only other restaurants to receive more than 10 percent of the vote.

The remaining votes were split between Chop Suey Carry Out, China Buffet and North China.

China Cottage offers a number of different Chinese dishes on both its lunch and dinner menus. Prices for dinner entrées range from $8.25 for Sweet and Sour Chicken to $24 for Peking duck.

Lunch specials are available from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and range from $5.95 to $8.95.

When the Dayton Business Journal held a similar poll back in 2007, the vote was about the same, with China Cottage pulling in 40 percent of the vote. China Cottage was established in 1987.
