AES expands development pipeline in Poland
Arlington-based AES Corp.’s wind generation division has made another acquisition expanding its wind power generation business in Europe.
AES (NYSE: AES) struck a deal with Polish wind-power developer Jan Reichert to acquire its development pipeline of 353 megawatts.
AES Wind Generation is acquiring a 51 percent stake in the pipeline, and will take ownership of up to 95 percent, pending completion of certain milestones by Reichert.
“Increasing our presence in Poland’s wind market falls in line with our strategy to pursue high-growth renewable energy markets," said Paul Hanrahan, president and chief executive officer of AES Payday Loan for Bad Credit. "With 775 MW in our development pipeline, we are establishing a strong foothold in one of Europe’s most attractive markets for wind generation”
